- Normal: Ini merupakan setting default dari sejak lahirnya ZenFone 3, dan kini juga disematkan pada ZenFone 4 Max ZC520KL. Modus ini akan secara cerdas mengatur performa CPU dan juga tingkat kecerahan layar untuk menghemat energi baterai.
- Power Saving: Modus ini tak hanya membuat performa CPU dan juga tingkat kecerahan layar berkurang demi untuk menghemat energi baterai, modus ini juga akan mematikan jaringan (mobile data dan juga WiFi), saat smartphone dalam kondisi sleep untuk lebih menghemat energi dan akan kembali terhubung ke jaringan saat layar dinyalakan kembali. Modus ini cocok saat pengguna akan beristirahat atau sangat membutuhkan daya baterai yang tersisa karena akan menghentikan seluruh notifikasi pesan sampai perangkat kembali diaktifkan.
- Super Saving: Modus ini mirip dengan Power Saving tetapi satu langkah lebih hemat dengan cara untuk menutup seluruh fungsi jaringan, kecuali telepon, SMS dan alarm dengan tujuan untuk lebih jauh lagi dalam menghemat energi baterai. Modus ini dapat memperpanjang masa standby ZenFone 4 Max ZC520KL hingga mencapai 147 jam pada saat kapasitas baterai tersisa 60%.
- Customized: Di sini pengguna bisa mengatur seluruh setting, mulai dari performa CPU, tingkat kecerahan layar dan juga fungsi-fungsi jaringan sesuai keinginan.
